ART ASSOCIATIONS
I have been a member of Valley Fine Arts Association in Wasilla since it began in 2005 and I am currently on the board of directors for 2008. I am also a member of Valley Art Alliance, and I have been stand in Vice President of Mat-Su College spring 2007 Art Club. In the summer of 2007 I was busy as a volunteer of the Palmer Museum . I also was on committee for intake of art hanging for the Palmer museum

Art Classes/ instruction I have given are children’s classes, including Matanuska Christian school, Chugiak Grade School, Ray’s Child Care and class instruction from my own studio incl. children’s classes and also this last fall, (2007) adult art instruction workshops sponsored by the Palmer museum
OF INTEREST
I have illustrated 4 published books by author Avril Johannes (1) Bunny, an Alaskan Hare, (2) Squeak, an Alaskan squirrel, (3) Enie, Menie, Miney, and Moe, Four Alaskan Ravens (4) and When the White Wolf Calls. Also I have illustrated “Between Two Rivers, an anthology by the Wasilla Writers Guild
Murals I have painted include award winning Goat Mt. (Alaska State Fair), Chugiak Mt. Range (at the Wasilla Comprehensive Dental center -outside), and 3 outside murals for a private party, Bob Massey. I also painted a 4’x12’ business sign for J. Ledbetter. I have a commission mural and book illustration pending.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
(1)&(2) I was asked by the curator of the Palmer museum to speak (which I did) to both the Palmer museum board of directors and the City of Palmer business meeting about the need for both a new museum expansion and also a needed facility for local artists to paint and display their work.
(3)Invitational speaker at the Palmer Board of Director’s meeting concerning needed space at the museum for future art and museum projects
(4) Invited speaker at the Palmer City business meeting concerning a needed facility in Palmer for the arts
(5) Participated in art project for permanent display at the Mat-Su College with Professor Enrique Badero’s class (I have 2 canvases in piece that was hung)
(6) Helped paint set for Palmer High School musical
